It’s infuriating to see Chris Todd, after running this place and causing over 2,000 people to lose their jobs, land yet another CEO position. These people only seem to fail upward. I feel terrible for the employees at Envestnet. They have no idea what’s headed their way.

I met Chris many times. It was such a contrast to Aron, and it was clear he was not up to the task of following in Aron’s footsteps. I was with him for a few lengthy event trips, and he never initiated conversation, asked any questions, or acknowledged me beyond a hasty handshake that I initiated. I am not surprised to learn of the bungling that led to his firing; he had no interest in how others felt or in employee morale, and he managed to destroy all that was good about the company.
Agreed with @the doctor. Pat was ruthless and vicious masking under her fake nice Southern draws
@OP I wish it was his fault and we could blame one person. Remember Pat Wadors? Yeah. From the inside, I can tell you with certaintly that she was the biggest problem. Fedex Gate? Pat. Ki-ling Aron's culture? Pat. Chris was very good at the business of business, but struggled on the lead and inspire side. Pat was just terrible all the way around. What a fake.
The CEO club is pretty tight. They take care of each other and previous transgressions are nothing.
Good luck, Envestnet folks. This guy is dangerous and has no heart for employees.
