5 day Return To Office

Has anyone heard anything about RTO in Q2?
There are a lot of rumors about going back to the office 5 days a week and having less overtime. Is that even going to increase productivity?

Erosion of Company Culture
Leadership defines the tone and culture of a company, and Ally’s C-suite seems to have prioritized profits over people. This undermines any efforts to build a positive, people-centered workplace. Employees who remain often feel undervalued and anxious about their own job security, leading to lower morale, disengagement, and a loss of trust in leadership.

Layoffs don’t just hurt those who lose their jobs—they damage the organization’s overall culture. When employees see their co-workers treated as expendable, it destroys the sense of community and loyalty that makes teams thrive. The C-suite at Ally has seemingly disregarded this ripple effect, focusing instead on the bottom line.

Hello,

I have not heard of the reduction in overtime you mentioned. I have heard that return to office has been in transitioning effect for years. The fear was that if they say come back 5 days people would quit. Ally is now more okay with people quitting, and will be doing a 12% headcount reduction at the end of Q2 with a smaller severance package this time.

"We shall see" is what I was told but my director will not be enforcing.

5 days in office is coming.

Ally Bank might seem convenient at first, but the reality can be frustrating. Their online-only model means there’s no branch to walk into when you need immediate help. Customer service, while available, can feel like a roll of the dice—sometimes you’re stuck in endless hold times or get vague answers to critical questions. The mobile app is prone to glitches, leaving you in the lurch when you need quick access to your accounts. Worst of all, their sudden account closures without clear explanations leave customers feeling blindsided and powerless. If you're looking for reliability and real accountability, Ally might not be the right choice.

Layoffs in disguise. They're hoping RTO will cause people to leave so they don't have to pay severance

If that’s true then maybe my layoff wasn’t such a bad thing.
