Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

11246 equal employment opportunities revoked

If you think it’s bad now, it’s about to get as bad as it possibly can.

Discrimination based on race, color, religion, s-x, s-xual orientation, gender identity, or national origin is no longer prohibited.
U.S. Bank can’t promote diversity, end workplace balancing, and stop affirmative action.

The bank will fall in line with this administration just like they did with the last. It's how it works.

Over the next year you will clearly see the changes because otherwise they know they will be open to legal action.

Whoever commented that it doesn’t affect the bank bc it’s only federal employees WRONG. Yes, it affects federal employees but it also effects companies that have federal contracts with the govt. a simple google search will tell ya u.s. bank is federally contracted by the U.S. govt. so yes, it absolutely does apply.

"U.S. Bank can’t promote diversity, end workplace balancing, and stop affirmative action." < This is false.

The Equal Opportunity Act only affects federal employees. It does not apply to private companies. If U.S. Bank rolls all these initiatives back, it is because leadership chooses to do so, not because they are required by law.

This has already been happening. Even at USB. Pretending to adhere to DEI doesn't make it so. At least now I won't get my hopes up by being offered an interview for a position that I'm not actually a true contender for, just because I'm a female and they need to hit their inclusion quota.

It’s so obvious those who have never been discriminated against. When your daughter & your wives get fired, aren’t paid the same as their male peers, or are passed up on promotions just bc they are women, pregnant, have kids don’t act shocked.

Like it or not but it is a global world now and one needs to compete with everyone on the planet. I saw many white male employees get fired and their jobs sent overseas even with DEI in place so these programs do not really matter anymore.

I wonder if this means they’ll get rid of the BRG’s. They have women, veteran, lgbtq, Latino, POC. I would assume those will have to go away now.

A lot of people are about to FAFO because they will be impacted too. It's another consequence of the leopards eating faces party.
