Rasgon throws out a lot of negativity with regards to Intel and is trying to make hay while the sun is shining.
Not that he's been particularly wrong but he is biased and it shows in his commentary.
I'd be really surprised if there is any huge negative revelation about progress on 18A or the companies finances at this point. Not to say there aren't issues but I think the company has been fairly straightforward over the past few months about the state of the business.
Where I think there may be a surprise is in divestments and efforts to wind down older nodes. I think they want 18a to be the baseline node as soon as possible, due to the cost improvements it has over all prior nodes.
