Rasgon throws out a lot of negativity with regards to Intel and is trying to make hay while the sun is shining.

Not that he's been particularly wrong but he is biased and it shows in his commentary.

I'd be really surprised if there is any huge negative revelation about progress on 18A or the companies finances at this point. Not to say there aren't issues but I think the company has been fairly straightforward over the past few months about the state of the business.

Where I think there may be a surprise is in divestments and efforts to wind down older nodes. I think they want 18a to be the baseline node as soon as possible, due to the cost improvements it has over all prior nodes.

And now for the bleating of the trolls..

Looks like Intel will be Americas latest Kodak. This is really sad. How could any body have wrung the life out of this once, Iconic company? There needs to be a tribunal

Most of these takeover scenarios are really bad for shareholders.

Intel has a gigantic fab problem with no good solutions.

Once tariffs are announced, the stock will crash even more, maybe by next week

"Hence the potential involvement of Trump and Musk. The two could be attempting to line up a deal that would save Intel and ensure that America has a strong domestic chip manufacturer.

That may well be the case, or it could just be another rumor.

One way or another, though, Intel seems destined to be dissolved — whether it’s bought out, broken up, or sold off in pieces. Something has to be done with it."

Yet, this makes Rasgon wonder if the recent flurry of news and Gelsinger’s sudden removal are signs that things are “worse than we think they are.”
