Does anyone know how many total? I'm one of them - after working for Alltel and then Windstream for 35+ years. A total of 4 from our small department with loads of experience and knowledge.

I was also recently cut along with my whole dept and was with Alltel/Windstream. Many knowledgable, longterm employees with good work ethic were let go. Sad. I also felt like we were a Work Family.
Sorry to hear this, as I too started with Alltel. Tenured employees probably didn't have a chance in this round. It's all about the money.
Consider yourself lucky you lasted as long as you did. Most of us from the Alltel days already gone.
Separation packages are being worked out for the union side
10-15% is the best estimate. Don't worry, they will cut some more in Feb.
