After more than 14+ years at Oracle, I was laid off, with my last day being Friday, January 31st. I was given two weeks' notice. Employees in EMEA were also affected but received a month's notice. The layoff was supposedly due to a reorganization and what was deemed best for the business.

This is probably based upon the current internal optimizations looking to save multiple millions. Usually leads to a few cuts here and there.
