After more than 14+ years at Oracle, I was laid off, with my last day being Friday, January 31st. I was given two weeks' notice. Employees in EMEA were also affected but received a month's notice. The layoff was supposedly due to a reorganization and what was deemed best for the business.

you wanna make a ton of money? lay every mid level manager off that only job is to approve vacation requests and lap dog his SVP. most of them are yt men. hahahahahaha. fun fact. I am yt as well.
This is probably based upon the current internal optimizations looking to save multiple millions. Usually leads to a few cuts here and there.
