Listen to Bernie - whatever may be you political views. He is saying the truth. ELV too is hiring trivial roles like manual testers, entry level coders as H1Bs. Most interns are too from one country. Now they are replacing American managers with H1Bs managers. THIS HAS TO STOP.

Bump … since moderators continue to delete posts regarding H1B, rather than the one or two posts that should be deleted.
The US worker expects too much $$. H1 is 25% cheaper and it's nearly impossible for them to move to another company. Once you have them you can sc--w them on raises/aip and they'll just take it. Offshore is 75% cheaper. And politicians on both sides of the aisle won't do anything about this because their reelection depends on $'s from the companies employing these people.
The place is corrupt to the core.
There are a lot of H1B associates that don’t actually work on the projects they bill to. They work on side projects and manager pet projects outside the company. Can’t complain or will be deported. This is one reason why estimates are high and people are overworked.
For the most part they don't have to offshore anymore because they created an entire company "LEGATO" thats offshore so that's the loophole right there.
Thanks for posting this.
I am going to write about a loophole while hiring exploited. Several layers of the ELV mid level management is mostly from one country. There are several contractors and while hiring a FTE several times these contractors are H1Bs and are hired without posting the job or interviewing, advertising or allowing an American a fair chance to get that job.
It is a effing scam.
Focus is on H1B, but Carelon is the offshoring strategy and rebadging is the layoff strategy which allows stealthy replacement overseas. Unless all the loopholes are addressed the results won’t change - paycheck to paycheck for us while Musk eats caviar on mars.
Personally, after all these years, I would like some managers to feel some of the pain that regular employees have been feeling for decades.... Not that I support continuing to send jobs offshores. But maybe that would make middle management fight SLTs harder to keep individual contributor jobs onshore....
100% stop with the offshoring bs
Nice share. I agree but it is about economics. Raise the minimum pay for H1B. That would push to hire citizens, also make H1B for what it is supposed to be - top skill. I am from that 'one country'
