With the huge push for RTO I have a feeling those approved to WFH (those over 30 miles from a hub) will be laid off sooner rather than later and if needed, replaced with someone who has hybrid availability… Unless their position is not one easily replaceable. Thoughts?

I hope those of you who want to get laid off will get your wish. Maybe that means I get to keep my job. I like my job and my team. All is not perfect but if I go somewhere else it may be same s**t, different place.

The majority of hires at Amazon and JPMorgan Chase are in senior leadership roles and work remotely under Zeph and Pete. Why doesn’t HR consider laying them off?

Possibly? The 2 layoffs we saw this week in our department were both remote home based workers.
