I think they are starting with DEI hires :). Adios!
Who’s saying anything about “leadership” announcing on this site? The decision(s) have already been made and trickle down from the EC to the L2’s and L3’s so THEY can plan accordingly. Nothing ever happens in a vacuum and decisions ALWAYS get leaked. Does it matter if it’s next week/month? Maybe people in the know want to let other associates know so they aren’t blindsided.
There are plenty of people in the rank and file that are more than qualified to be in a position of leadership that aren’t. No one wants to listen to them or their ideas because it goes against the current EC’s strategy. This place is full of bootlickers and it’s one of the reasons it’s been “run into the ground” and the current regime is scrambling to make changes and shift strategy. The current EC is awful, but the demise started a few CEO’s ago. The current EC is just trying to make the sh-t sandwich a little more tolerable…
TIAA would be a perfect case study for business schools of what NOT to do in terms of corp strategy, finance, marketing, HR, etc.
Found the HR/EC corporate shill troll👇🏾
Why not just wait until announcement? Everyone likes to get the inside scoop. But if it's planned for next week, why would leadership announce early and on this site of all places? I feel slightly bad for our Communications folks because they have a schedule to roll out announcements and then folks try to make uninformed leaks here and then get mad at them for not having announced before the leak... which would mean they had to schedule the announcement earlier... which means you will leak it earlier... and on and on.
I wish the big talkers on this board would be required to put in actual recommendations to improve the company. And no, not paying $18M to the CEO isn't going to increase our revenue by $2B. An no, you're not going to find a person who can truly lead and inspire the company for $2M per year (because if you did, they leave in 2 seconds to make $20M elsewhere). And no, keeping the same number of employees who led us to having a money-losing business isn't likely to lead to us changing our way of doing business so we can actually start earning a profit.
I can second guess every IT, HR, Finance and business decision to on this board. That doesn't mean I'm qualified to do so and it definitely doesn't mean I have a better solution. Just saying the company stinks without realistic solutions is just whining behind the anonymity of this board.
Hearing it was supposed to be this week but now probably the middle to end of February
Some layoff talk could be not real layoffs but for folks who got a 1 or 2 rating. To clean house and save money then rehire them in Frisco to get the tax benefit quota.
I heard it will be on Monday…
Sarcasm aside… stop with the layoff talk. They will try to lay off before comp time as they have done to some extent every year for decades. Bottom line is that some of the talk next week and meetings is around Accenture moves in a couple weeks and reorganization that needs to be done company wide because of those moves.
Others have said it and I will too… TIAA employees should have unionized many years ago. Their lack of action back then is sc--wing employees over to this day.
Can someone from leadership or familiar with this confirm? Should we expect a mass number of layoffs next week? For what departments?
Is this to pad Temu’s bonus? Was $18million not enough?
Interesting. What biz areas ?
Thursday
I also want to know what’s going on. Was told there’s an announcement next week but I don’t know what it is about.
