Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Supply Chain a good area?

With IDP underway I was asked where I would consider going to next and was suggested supply chain. Is supply chain worth moving into? I hear it’s unorganized and full of expats who only want to make a name for themselves with trash initiatives then leave.

OP here, ended up getting promoted into an advisory role in SC.
Already a mistake, this place is filled with egomaniacs from IOL trying to make a name for themselves. Center of Excellence is a joke. Full of people who are not experts.
I’ve come to terms I’m ranking fodder at this point.

Just depends if they send you to operations which isn’t bad. Polaris is where they send you to end your career and will be a delayed and failed project. Anything logistics or emps related you’re fine until they outsource. Anything with an advisor title has no respect by many

Supply chain is an absolute wasteland of despair. Cut throat, backstabbing, and overwork with a very bright future in India.

There's no such thing as a good area at ExxonMobil. Employees're being laid off everywhere except in India.
