Thread regarding Albertsons layoffs

They are keeping all the information close to the chest

Boise-based Albertsons confirmed to BoiseDev that it is laying off corporate employees around the country.

Albertsons employees said the job cuts started yesterday. Online posts by employees indicate jobs in Boise, and at corporate hubs in Arizona, Oregon, California and Texas are impacted.

An Albertsons spokesperson did not answer a question of how many people were impacted. The company has not filed Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification notices with the State of Idaho, or other impacted states. Those notices, required by federal law, require companies to report large-scale layoffs in certain circumstances.

In a statement, the company stressed no store-level employees are impacted for now.

Looks like work is headed to both India and Manila. That's probably why the cio went to india for business, bringing along his close allies

It is going to Manila, not India. Manila is the offshore hub

Key missing detail: your jobs are going to India.
"We have been on a multi-year journey to balance our onshore and offshore activities, and we have grown an offshore hub with associates and contract workers supporting an array of administrative operations."

Another interesting tidbit:
"However, the Idaho Department of Labor confirmed to CBS 2 News that the state did not receive a WARN notice, which is required when companies lay off a large number of employees."
