Upon checking my earnings for the January 1-15 period, I saw I got an extra payment amount
Does anybody know why ? it is not related to my 2024 bonus

Yes, both Canada and US - only for small comps

Those with total comp under $150k got $1k more.
Not everyone gets $1000 extra payment, only poor slobs. Read email carefully.
Everyone gets $1000 for new year. The firm sent an email in December
Typically when laid off, they pay you for unused PTO
