Thread regarding Belk layoffs

9-10 hour inventory with no breaks

We had a 9 to 10 hour long until after 3am inventory with no meal breaks. No food, just cr--kers. Was your inventory this long without a break?

Just to clarify, associates do not great a break during inventory, and time cards will reflect that. Im a Sales Team Manager of almost ten years. The previous three responses on here are from what appear to be corporate shills afraid that they broke labor laws in some states. A tray of cookies, candy, water and cr--kers does not equate to a break for a ten hour shift. We are told that if associates took a full meal break during inventory, scanning and accuracy would slow down because most people become tired and lethargic after eating, especially in the middle of the night. Belk is brutal and corporate is so out of touch with reality.
