This job has gotten me to the point I was approved for short term disability. Burn out is real and comes with physical and mental symptoms. Anyone else feeling it?

Absolutely! Papers are signed and being filed.
Checked with employment lawyer?
I was put on a 60 day PIP. Day 60 fell on a Sunday, so it was Monday morning that I was let go.
How long were you on PIP before termination? Immediately is how many weeks?
I went on short term disability and it was almost impossible to come back. It took soo long for Matrix and U.S. Bank to communicate that it turned into LTD, which I have still not been paid for (9 months ago). Upon returning, I was put on a PIP and fired immediately. Super shady sh!t. They don't care about your tenure or past production. Beware.
"What is wrong with you?! You're either a miserable person or an executive trolling this forum."
It is sad but true that we cannot distinguish between a "miserable person" and an "executive trolling."
I had a colleague out on short term due to stress and you know what I felt? Concern. Because they're a human being. I did not care what work got shuffled to me because I'd rather have extra work than them be serious ill. What is wrong with you?! You're either a miserable person or an executive trolling this forum.
I am the OP. The ignorance of some of the comments blows my mind. I’m on Short Term Disability because the stress- yes STRESS…. Of the pressure, the sudden increase of tasks, the unknown if will I be laid off….on top of already diagnosed depression and anxiety- put me I’ve the edge. My blood pressure was over 170, chest pains, other physical symptoms. If you can’t understand this- be thankful that you don’t and just be kind.
Also the same people that rip people for using vacation and sick days. It’s part of your benefits!
As other said, you pay for disability insurance, why would you not use it if you have health insurance issues? Die on the job so Executives can get that big bonus?
Imagine being so d-mb that you think short term disability insurance is "a con" and not something that you, as an employee, pay into in order to be able to use when needed. Probably the same flavor of bootstrapped d-mbo that thinks it's virtuous to not use unemployment (that they have also paid into). Also, it's "weeks" (plural), not the possessive.
I’ve worked in food service, on a factory line, etc. and I’ve never had a more stressful work environment than “pencil pushing” at this sh-tshow of a bank.
Good for you OP. It's a part of your total compensation so don't let id--t posters like the ones below guilt you. Your co-workers will be just fine and perhaps even learn to apply for this if it truly warrants. No need to ki-l one self for corp.
Apparently desk bound pencil pushers think they face real stress. Such delicate creatures.
People can die from stress , develop ulcers and other long term health problems if not taken care of.
Are you an executive that want us grade 15 and below to die on the job so you can get that fat bonus check?
Nice to see people finding a way to con a few week’s off. Bet your coworkers appreciate it.
My blood pressure was so high I ended up in urgent care. Dr. Confirmed an ulcer in my stomach. So I get to stay home on 100 per cent salary for - 4 weeks to start. It can go up to 12 if needed.
Feel it. What symptoms do you have to get approved? I am on med for anxiety attack, not sure that qualifies
