I drive a brand nee BMW. On my way through the the parking lot, I heard 3 people chatting and recognized a couple nasty words that were clearly directed in an indirect way to me.
My point is, why do you have to hate hard workers or those who earned their money? Yes, I drive a 100K+ vehicle but I paid it from my own money.
We need to learn that it’s fine that some people are paid more then others, and no I didn’t have to kiss the executive hands to get what I have today.
A lot of people drive BMW's. They are affordable. They are cheaper than the car I drive now. I never understood the feeling of prestige of owning one. I've seen homeless people in Oakland living in BMW's. There is a pan handler who has a kid with her and she owns a Mercedes. If you go to a food bank, hang out there and look at the types of cars being driven out there. You will be amazed at the luxury cars that pull up over there. FYI - I live in the Bay Area.

Did they infer you were under-endowed or over paid? You must know if you have read this site that there are many folks who have been treated badly by the company and suspect you are part of that boys club that is responsible.
Even if you were to deserve your new toy, you will likely have detractors, especially with your whiny attitude. So grow up, chill out, put some tunes on the HK, and go for a ride.

Unfortunately, most with high pay don't deserve it. Honeywell has no correlation between pay and performance. I had people making 2x more than others on my team, but they were not 2x more productive.
When I dared not give one a block 1, he flipped out because it meant his bonus would not be big enough to trade in and buy his annual new... BMW.
I never drive my luxury car to work!.
I bring my Toyota instead.
