Case Managers

Are Case Managers badly needed or are they first on the chopping block?

there are a LOT of open job postings for case managers. as with most of these scenarios, it mostly depends on where you are.

case managers are generally contractually required depending on lob. but the amount of case managers is directly tied to plan enrollment. if there are plans sunsetting or a significant decrease in population served then it could be possible. you would be able to see that writing on the wall fairly easily. there should be information on the caseload logic for your plan within contracts and policies.

i’m not saying there’s a big layoff coming in anyway i’m just saying that’s how you’d be able to see if it is possible. too much fear-mongering on this page!
