Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Any info on many people have been laid off by Oracle in January 2025?

I was informed that I was being terminated as part of a RIF on 1/3/25 and my last day as an employee would be 1/17/25 and that I would receive severance (4 weeks for the first year of employment and 1 week for each additional year of employment). I have not been able to find much information on the scope of employees that were impacted and which divisions they were in. I was wondering if anyone has some information they are willing to share.

One recruiter I spoke with this week mentioned that one of their contacts (who used to work for my organization) heard that their were recent lay offs, so it sounds like this is something that may have impacted a number of people.

I would like to know this as well. I heard 5,000 in India laid off or terminated in August 2025; allegedly 11,000 total including US terminations.

Yesterday, (September 2nd), more fired... just GONE! And yes, no notice... just a group phone call... as soon as you send your personal email information- you are locked out of your laptop. POOF! No reasonable severance pay, either!

I looked up past firings & looks like they have been cutting thousands since 2023. Last month many in California, Washington (Seattle) and Texas were fired... not "laid off"... FIRED!

How does a company take on a new most likely multi-billion dollar government contract in July & then fire thousands??? What is going on? And why is mainstream media not reporting on this???

Anyone privy to an accurate number of fired employees since the Trump deal?

Yeah, we should drum this clown off the board. You heard nothing, you are nothing.

I hear the layoffs coming in March will impact more organizations. However, we heard that the package is only 2 weeks total. That would be HORRIBLE! Does Oracle fall under Texas employment law -- or the state in which you reside?

Is it only in Oracle Health Department (OHA) that got impacted?
