previous poster - the WFR policy is on the Human Resources page for US, Puerto Rico and Canada. It says Gainwell will pay the company portion of the COBRA for the first 30 days. It also still says up to 12 weeks max of pay. The document was amended in Dec of 2024, but I don't know what changed.

Did you hear if they are still offering severance packages that include the first month's employer contribution to the COBRA healthcare plan? I assumed that as the layoffs progressed, GWT would start reducing the number of weeks of severance based on years of service and possibly eliminate the healthcare portion of the package.

On a daily basis, we were told clients were unhappy, but management never communicated exactly what was causing their dissatisfaction. It felt like management could hear the frustration but couldn’t identify the root cause. As a result, when clients “yelled” at them, they would turn around and yell at the teams, without providing any specifics about the clients' concerns. I was on a top expert performing team that consistently hit every milestone and often delivered ahead of schedule, yet management still came down hard on us. It seems like they struggle with communicating effectively with both the clients and the teams. Ask any manager a straight forward question and I expect you will get back a convoluted response that may or may not even address the question(small exceptions of course). I don't know how they keep their positions when they in my opinion are the catalyst to the chaos. It's that over all lack of understanding and ability to communicate effectively that will continue to drive a downward spiral. Town Halls always danced around the problem without once offering a solution besides keep our heads to the grindstone. Obviously, with my team, that was not the problem. They were constantly and consistently over performing yet still in the firing line. It's like upper management couldn't tell friend from foe. Who wants to work in that type of environment?
Banks will not accept their word salad excuses when it comes time to renew their loans and as such, there will be a deep dive into the company's operations which will point out the weaknesses. Yes, I believe it will take an outside organization to point out the problems for GWT to finally be able to identify what's really driving the spiral.

Nobody else is posting about actual WFRs that occurred. I heard of two people getting WFR within the last week.

Pray tell, what is the nature of the data being collected by finance and HR that will be determining factors?

It is the calm before the storm in March (fiscal year end) - loads of data being collected by finance and HR to do layoffs just before fiscal year end in March.

At a minimum about 10% of employees will be offloaded/WFR’d.

How does one work for Gainwell and not become a raging alcoholic with a dr-g habit. Lots and lots of therapy. (And dipping into your domestic partner's anti-depressants)

Gainwell is gonna lose the entire ITO team they just outsourced to NTT. Why would anyone willingly stay with this dumpster fire of a company?

I agree with Mark - Too much icing and not enough cake.

Define imaginary?

I just thought I'd be able to have a clean start and reinvent myself with NTT. To once again be able to define my own career and destiny, rather than have someone manipulate me into role that I never wanted for myself.

I have a feeling that I won't be able to shake or rid myself of individuals that rely on the talents of others through micromanagement and gaslighting, in order to keep their own heads above water.

Layoffs should be top down. Lots of overhead cr-p that needs clean up before letting go junior employees.
