OpenText ripe for acquisition?

Is there an opportunity for someone to come in while the share price is so low, who do we think would go for it?

There can't be enough desperate dinosaurs that would want this sh*t sandwich. It's a sad tale .... Novell was a terrible purchase for Attachmate, Attachmate was a terrible purchase for Micro Focus, Micro Focus purchase of HPE assets was on par with HPE purchase of Autonomy (corrupt d-mb-shittery). Commence the death spiral. Enter the unparalleled arrogance of one Mark B - a silicon bro wanna be - buying the Shady Pines of the tech world no doubt thinking it was a state of the art wellness clinic. And here we are. Other bad acquisitions squandered - over the years ... "Franken Text"
Anyone who knew the businesses have been summarily, coldly and unfairly dismissed - some really good people. Mark B has made his money unfortunately, but the board and investors who trusted this blowhard charlatan will reap what they've sown. I wonder what will happen to the execs who have sold their souls to him?

Trying to get someone to acquire a Zombie company like OT, or to buy their portfolio of products is like asking Henry Ford to buy a carriage or buggy whip company after rolling out the Model T. OT will continue to milk the maintenance revenue and put lipstick on their products until customers all move off. But then there's Aviator- the AI product that never was......

They overpaid for MF and have a ton of debt. PE firm would have to be experts at restructuring bad debt. Fear with the OT catalog of tech is that it's not contemporary. Even their EDI technology was being replaced by API supply chain startups.

There has been a blackout enforced on selling shares since end of November 2024. Would suggest that something is happening.

God. Please not another buyout. I have been through 3 company changes. It just gets worse and all the additional work just to adjust to new system and processes. Followed by more cost cuttings.
