Yea, basically what the other user said. React Native being used by numerous teams that will be consolidated. The best devs per dollar will stay. That should be happening by late 2025, again nothing has ever been more up in the air at Ally.

The push for React native merge between teams nothing is for sure yet. I would highly recommend applying to other jobs to get ahead of anything. Who would have ever thought store front would be the most secure team lmfao
Why do you think mobile web teams are at risk?
no way there are more this week. Right? Right? If you are in backend, mortgage, mobile web, UX, or on an internal tools team I think you might be at risk.
I’d imagine the week is safe. They’ll sell CC this quarter, see how Q1 looks, then maybe more cuts in Q2/3
Don’t forget that they did this October 23 and when enough didn’t accept the severance package, they came back for a second round and blindsided additional folks who thought they were clear. Corporate greed. Trust no one
I got laid off today. It was a bit of a surprise. I was told by a co-worker that when they had the team meeting after we left that they said that this is all "for now".
The rest of the week might be safe, but not sure if the first half of this year will be safe.
