Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Bye Claire

Great run, but paying millions to an exec to provide jobs at Nike for retired athletes should be a non profit. Can we please keep cutting millions in salaries for long term high execs that are not contributing to growth and get the stock up so those of us toiling can actually retire? My god, cut the fat. Fight to have women’s athletes paid higher vs adding them to our bloated payroll unless they add value.

Not saying Claire was great by any means but she literally has nothing to do with innovation being created, she was only responsible to make sure innovations made by AIC made it across the business and to market.

Her team did not create any of the failing or non-adopted innovations and there is an entire other building of people responsible that don’t seem to be changing anytime soon .

Never forget the time she flew in from Florida to tell Nikes essential workers they have to be on campus during COVID.
