Creating US jobs… what a lie. It is more like for the CEO and his D team to make their fat checks at the expense of now American tax payers. Intel didn’t care about US jobs or US employees.
After 2016 layoffs, Intel hired 10s of thousands of people in Hyderabad, Bangalore under MR’s leadership. Waste of money… it is the easiest to layoff US employees with a tiny bit severance payment. In europe, even in China or India you need to pay decent severance packages to lay off employees. It is expense to get rid of people, every place but the US. In certain European countries, even with generous severance you still can’t layoff employees as a profitable company. It is not acceptable, it would be laughable for profitable companies to ask for government handouts in Europe, especially after they announce layoffs.
Not in the US. Having intel get billions of US tax dollars is like a slap on the face. I am against it because I know this management team. I voted Dem but not after in the next election, this is a total failure. After bailing out Wall Street fat banks, then the US auto with no strings attached, these politicians are now giving our tax $$$ to profitable companies whose CEOs pocket 100 millions of dollars in compensation a year even after dismally failing in very measure. When it comes to funding better health care, education, oh no are we becoming communists now? What is wrong with our system.

Parts of ATTD and LTD combined in Q2 of 2021 and there was a lot of redundancy between the 2 orgs. A little over a year later I am sure they have a long list of who they don't need any more.
