Thread regarding SS&C Technologies layoffs

Brace yourselves for layoffs in 2025

If you work for Blue Prism and Chorus you should prepare for January layoffs, especially in the UK.

Protected discussions are their approach, get you to leave with as little fuss as possible rather than take your chance with statutory minimum redundancy package.

If you are impacted, you should look in to the recent creation of new roles by Jeremy Rossi, which were filled by people without the knowledge, experience or skills required for the positions.

Nepotism, rewarding the loudest voices, and incompetence is the norm.

I was laid off a few days ago too. 2 months shy of 7 years and they’re only giving 6 weeks severance. I would have expected at least 2 weeks for every year. 6 weeks for almost 7 years of my life is ridiculous. Does that sound right? I may need to consult an attorney.

They do it all the time, mix redundancy with compromise agreements.

Much MUCH worse than expected. How can they get rid of so many UK based people without doing mass redundancy process? The numbers above 20 easily

A little later than suggested, but the layoffs are happening in full force. Communication internally has been completely absent on the matter but there's a swathe of folks with a generic "Out of Office" message on their profiles so it's pretty obvious what's going on now.

May the odds be in your favour.

Jeremy is a narcissist with a dangerous ego and the temperament of a toddler. Surrounds himself with those that will stroke his ego and bully's those who challenge. The decisions he has made are naive at best d-mb at worst demonstrating little about leadership or understanding of the business. His 'style' is archaic and one dimensional, the sort of character that features in cartoon strips or tv satire, the type of people that convince those around them of their greatness before the facts become apparent and they move on. Appointed by the guy who wasted millions at Bloomberg and has done the same thing with ss&c everywhere unless Bill steps in unlikely the pending disaster will be avoided. For anyone thinking sour grapes, I moved on and wish people well, so far from it.

Oh yes Jeremy is an interesting character. The people he pulled together to be his support team are the same toxic people NO ONE wants to work with - they backstab others to cover for their own lack of results. Sooner or later their inability to deliver will be clear. The new boss had decided that a lot of people are stupid id--ts and only his Bloomberg buddies know how to do things right. Let’s see how many of those will join in March …

The genuine workers have been facing constant bullying and mistreatment, with little support or recognition for their efforts. It feels like a small group/gang is running the business, making decisions based on favoritism and disregarding the real talent and hard work of others. This toxic environment is pushing out dedicated employees and undermining the company's potential.

The culling is real. Whole teams have been dismantled creating significant gaps and questions around R&R now that key people have been fired across many areas. Few others are leaving because they can see the writing on the wall. ICs with many years of experience are jumping ship and joining competitors. The new boss Jeremy has removed two leadership members and the one that remains is a spineless pushover that only spews regurgitated statements from his wonder kid protege. The loudest and mediocre voices are being heard by the new boss and the cuts have just begun. Get out while you can (I'm on the way out already)

What new roles have been created? Not denying the nepotism, I just don't know where to look for it.

I think you guys have to stop being bitter and move on. You were not good at your job which is why you are no longer there. Stop blaming everyone else besides yourself.

The person who posted this comment "Sounds like you all su-k at your jobs and are now bitter. My suggestion - su-k less."

I'd be inclined to reason that you MUST be good at su-king ;-) since you are still there.

SS&C need to pay the shareholders which (of many) belong to institutions such as Vanguard, Blackrock etc. If these ii (institutional investors) are not paid the percentage they are banking on, it all gets messy, confidence wanes and shares are dd (dumped and devalued). As it stands SS&C are banking on the long-term contracts and aiming to overlay innovational squeezes on these platforms i.e. Blueprism and dump the ones that aren't performing so great/have less of a future (think healthcare). YTD SS&C are failing and need to generate funds from anywhere and anyone - hence 'shrink-creative' approach to businesses, they call it 'streamlining operations' :-)

That is why Bill Stone is slowly selling his holdings raising (see 12/05/24 - $18,944,564.88 Gross Sale) - which coincidentally came at the time of the layoffs in December 2024 (someone has to pay for Bill's yacht and new home)

SS&C where tech goes to die. If you have any talent and came from Blue Prism you're already gone...
