Either take revenue per employee or profit per employee and compare to AMD, Nvidia, Qualcomm, and TSMC.
Eye popping isn’t it, will they really ACT?

Floor MT's busy? That's hilarious. If you are running WIP on the floor, the only reason you're busy is because everybody is on break 3-5 hours per 12hr shift! Cut back on breaks and things will be better...
25K is what is needed s to make Intel competitive with about 100VPs, 1000Gr10-11 and 15-20K is about right as a start!
The spreadsheet will tell them how big, if it hasn’t done so already.
I don't think MTs who work on the tools are in anyway redundant. We have enough work to keep busy for 12hrs and we getting busier and busier as we continue to lose people ....we are technically at head count but we just lost a guy.
rat+1jdmw2D7 Not true from what I’ve heard from those in the know. All teams, all GEOs. If you don’t fit into this new org structure or your role becomes redundant as part of it, hasta la vista. Irrespective of performance, pay, geo, etc. It genuinely seems like a game of chance.
What I’ve been hearing could be wrong/misleading, but I can’t think of a reason why the person who told me this wouldn’t be honest. It would make sense tbh, given they are leaving the option for rehire/redeployment this round. You wouldn’t do that if you were culling the underperformers
30k employee mostly from oregon and arizona, if not all. There will be no layoffs outside. The labor laws outside USA will not allow such disrupt layoffs.
All depends on which group you're in...
My team can be cut more than 50% without any problem, if the "cut" is the right cut...
Last Friday staff meeting, I've seen low performing engineers sucked up the manager openly in the meeting, praising his/her leadership...
At the same time, those people tried to set up a lot of useless task force meetings these days...
Is the news out yet or its just rumours?
This is THE one.
This will be the mother of all layoffs.
I don’t think we’ll see Intel use ACT again. Traditional layoff is stupid and it was really poorly done in 2016.
I think you’re onto something with comparing with out side. But it’s not just the revenue growth story. Look at how much profit both of those companies make. And one of them is paying the other one. Clearly intel us leaking money somewhere and then need are going to cut those off.
