Job Grades

Can anyone provide any information on the salaries for job grades? Specifically, J, K L, and M? Thank you in advance.

All,

If you look internally in Workday for roles and find one(s) specifically in the Job Grade in questions, you'll see salary ranges posted.

I am a J and was started at 53,000. I just had my evaluation and don’t know what pay increases are yet though.

Sorry, not that high up. I can't tell you N and P ranges. You'd have to estimate those based on a rough 25% elevation from the previous grade's min/max.

Can you also list for Grade N & P (unsure if you have any Grade Ps under you currently)?

There isn't a location in Workday that just lists all paygrades and salary ranges, although there may be for HR and VP+ roles. I happen to have direct reports in the L and M grades, so those ranges are visible to me so I can calculate penetration rates.

Again, don't create a conspiracy where there isn't one folks. I'm just trying to provide those asking with accurate information. It would be nice not to get such condescending replies. If you don't like the truth, that's a "you" problem. Take it up with your manager or HR.

p.s. Thank you for your patience, @3ppv+1jcfICfD.

Ummmm OK- @2ygx+1jcfICfD- please provide the group the exact location in “WORKDAY” where the pay range per job grade information is posted.

I’ll patiently await your response. Thanks

If you’ve already discussed with your leader that you believe you deserve better compensation and they differed or dismissed your proposition; start looking for opportunities elsewhere. Your managers job is to prioritize their team. It’s in their best interest to keep their team happy. If you’re not receiving that… Leave.

You will obtain at least a 20-25%increase by purely obtaining a job at another company. Put yourself out there and apply elsewhere. You may have to submit countless resumes but a better workplace culture exists outside of Centene.

Those numbers are not low, nor are they inaccurate. They came straight from Workday as of this morning when they were posted. They are not unique to any department. Those are Centene paygrades and they only vary if the employee is a +/- market due to cost of living (i.e. California is +15% I think). Don't create a conspiracy where there isn't one folks.

Both indeed and Glassdoor are OFF. That’s why this site could be useful.

Companies have conditioned employees to believe that discussing your actual salary with peers is forbidden. This is NOT true!

“Under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA or the Act), employees have the right to communicate with other employees at their workplace about their wages. Wages are a vital term and condition of employment, and discussions of wages are often preliminary to organizing or other actions for mutual aid or protection. ”

Not sure if Indeed is accurate but for Salary Grade L listings $92.5K - $117K a year.

Indeed has the pay ranges listed of what they are currently paying. Just search Centene job listings.

Please don’t respond with guesses for ranges. If you are not sure just don’t respond because this is a relevant question that a lot of folks want to know- accurate information!

@1igw+1jcfICfD Your numbers seem way off- way to low for the start numbers!
I do know there is a range difference per department. What department are you referring to?

L is 52-93, M is 68-122. You can do the math for approximate J-K ranges.

There are large ranges for each. The actual salary for each respective role in that range is based on internal equity, job experience, and a host of other factors that determine the base salary for each role.
