Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Break up

I have a hunch that Mfg. and design will be separated. Announcement during quarterly Yes, No?

They have to do something to stop the stock from going to ZERO

Lets hope it happens. Try working with assembly TD and Portland TD. Extremely tedious and bureaucratic…. Because no competition. Overstaffed arrogant lazy management.

Not gonna happen, IFS won't make profit for many years, product groups need someone to blame their failures on, also Pat doesn't have ba--s to make a move like that.

Design could and would survive designing decent products if cut loose from Fab.

Fab and RD are a totally disaster and fundamentally can never be competitive with the big two foundries.

Either as IFS tied to mother Intel or cut loose like GF was from AMD it has little hope of ever being competitive.

Frankly as a stand alone like GF it will be just like GF. Offering uncompetitive technology to its mother product team and losing billions to keep trying g to keep competitive. With the recession GF will be back to losing billions as would IFS as a stand alone company.

Let’s be serious how can Intel fabs be competitive with TSMC, or Samsung at the smaller nodes, forget the fact how can Tower help them against TSMC, UMC and GF!

No. The whole strategy is to make money from our combined assets. Read the investor page.

Possibly sell some empty buildings, or the worthless monuments.

Pat is laying down the structure to enable the fabs to be separated out.
