Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Complete disregard

Just watched Cristoph address SMG regarding the layoffs. He seemed genuinely more upset about the press coverage than the fact he's firing thousands of people. I haven't worked here for long, but that really made an impression on me. I hope to stay, but honestly, that address made me feel much better about the prospect of possibly needing to go somewhere else. He really didn't seem bothered by it, and that's especially concerning being that it's literally mental health awareness week. How tone deaf is that?

Sadly agree - he totally misread the room and is more obsessed with his CRM vision - which will never work. I’m so tired of intel’s execs - all ego and buzzwords. No substance whatsoever - they just surrender themselves with yes people and disregard anything they don’t like the look of. So sad to see.

You just got a taste of how terrible Intel's "managers" are. Most don't deserve the title of manager.

I completely agree. Branding the entire thing "SMG FOCUS" while this hangs over everyone's head shows how completely out of touch leadership is with the actual real humans whose livelihoods are now uncertain. Absolute zero empathy from those in their newly appointed leadership roles.
