Take it one step further:
Intel can & does actively scan your home network while their laptop is connected to it.
Also, Intel laptops are configured as P2P servers, to provide upload & download to other users, if their network is slow. Users are not told about this and cannot disable it.

I did a contract IT job for a law firm one weekend. I installed spyware on all the company machines that was a keylogger and did screen caps every 5 seconds.

If the machine is not yours, you have no legal expectation of privacy.

Isn't THIS site blocked from within the Intel network?

If you're here and you are using an Intel device, you're probably not the sharpest tool in the shed and maybe you should be let go.

@1vlv

Never log into personal accounts on company computers and networks. Someone might take advantage of that information.

so when the next cyber security breach happens I guess you can't blame employees for password management... hack the monitoring software... micromanagement has a cost

I know there is mouse/keystrokes/usage tracking, but what I did not know was that my immediate manager and all managers in my chain have access to that information. RIP to all the passwords I had ever typed.

This isn’t new - when the ergonomics program launched some 5 years ago it literally says this in the fine print.

Also, if you are getting reimbursed for internet expenses while working remotely, they can legally monitor your home surfing. (at least some of it) This is why I don't expense it.

HR also has investigators in the department. Some are ex- law enforcement. So yeah, don't violate company policy. These people are very capable.

I'd laugh if this thread was a company with, a not-so-tech-savvy employee base, but Intel? Companies of any size have been doing this, one way or another for decades. Heads up: Microsoft 365 will make your head spin with what they can learn about you during your work day. Ge-z!

Tracking includes smart phone texts, emails, and web updates you send through Intel wifi, by the way. So if you are doing your thelayoff.com rants via your work wifi … oops!

Correct, and the logged input goes straight into the CPM tool.

Hence the need to own a separate physical laptop dedicated for personal work.

Who doesn’t know this??

Though, I have seen a few, and it was embarrassing to watch them realize…

How is this different from what Facebook does?

Having worked in I.T. before (not Intel), one should always assume that they are being tracked when using their employer's computers and networks.
