I've been through SET, ACT and now CPM and it just seems like the layoffs always happen right before the holidays. Maybe it's tied to the frequent October stock market downturns, but my god I feel bad for the younger employees who aren't as financially stable.

“Lots of time to look for an internal job…” — how many of those exist?
As a retiree, I recall they tend to close those down before “redeployment” actions begin.
HR not in mine. Just manager. Same deal… got a tool message confirmation. Manager had package for me in email. Looks like normal package.. benefits depending on signing agreements are good. Lots of time to look for an internal job…
So many uninformed posting drivel here. Many US employees were notified over 2 weeks ago.
It’s spread out over time guys. Not happening in every group right now. You have to understand layoffs are a “workload” and as such is not all on same day for all.
Good luck to everyone who gets let go. It will probably be hard in the short term but you will likely look back on this as a good thing. There is life after Intel and it is good.
Good luck to those who survive too. Intel's future isn't going to be a walk in the park and there will probably be more of these layoffs on the horizon.
Not an HR troll, just an Intel retiree watching this debacle unfold from the sidelines.
@faf.. no HR, just a 1:1 with my manager.. once the 1:1 was done, my manager updated the CPM tool and I got and automated email from HR with next steps and my personalized links within the tool.
@fhv+1jXRTVS3 : was ur HR involved in call? sorry for asking details in this situation... just wanna see how things are..
@ofp what is your group?
@jig.. I will assume that if you get a 1:1 invite between today and tomorrow out of your regular 1:1 schedule, then most likely you are impacted? For me the waiting is over so at least no more anxiety on whether or not I would be impacted. Good luck to everyone.
I also got an email from HR after my 1:1...
It reads:
"Dear XXXX
By now you should have been informed about your business group's redeployment actions and its impact on your employment at Intel. We know this time can be challenging and upsetting for you and your family and in support, Intel offers resources to help you determine your nest steps.... "
@fhv+1jXRTVS3 : is the 1:1 scheduled to all or only to affected employees?
@efs.. I just got my 1:1, this is a fact. Good luck.
Without revealing too much, where did you hear this from?
