Whomever is cutting wfh is a giant 🫏
Gail is an id--t. Right as Covid hit, she decided she wanted to stop WFH. Well, we all know how that went. Everyone in my state went home except exec. Since Gail didn't want to pay to continue leasing space in a huge building, they kept one floor and turned the others back over to the leasing agent. If she wants to force workers in my state back into the office, where the heck is she going to put them? She's notorious for cutting costs at every turn, so she's going to pay through the nose to get enough space leased for the poor schmucks she forces to come back. Or maybe she'll just lay off hundreds more and make one person do the work of 5 people. That's her modus operandi.
everyone in for team meetings---to do on zoom in an office. smart. reallly smart.
Yes, it IS coming back. I will also say, they are looking at those currently utilizing the office now. I try to pop in about 1-2 weeks, because the office is about 40 miles from my home.
This is definitely coming. They are easing us back into full time in office by currently for team meetings. It is going to become a thing. I also happen to know leaders are being told to target new hires near offices, instead of going where the talent is for remote.
I don't have a solid inside track, but it's solid enough to share that everyone should be prepared. Gail wants back in office.
No orders to report into an office yet here, but being told we may have to attend in person team meetings at office locations which I am guessing is a move to having to return to offices for work eventually.
Gail needs to get a clue on modern work environments. But when you're a 102, you forget
My boss works in FL. So he doesn't have to go in, but the rest of have to because we're in the ' 10+ ' mile radius.. of an office , whether people from your team or the people you support go in.. or not. Construction is happening is many offices so they have to justify 'ones' existence..
On the employee survey, the org I am in did not fair well on the question - I enjoy going to work - (it was something similar). The powers that be took that to mean that people did not want to come into the office. So my VP (above my staff VP) said we are not expected in the office.
