The four unions that had this contract forced on you should look up the Supreme Court “Beck objector “ The carriers now know they have the power and labor has little to stop it . Wait till negotiations in a couple years . One man crew will be pushed through and we will be helpless to stop it unfortunately.
The filibuster is great! The blame is on Biden and the Republicans who voted against the 7 sick days. So yeah, Biden must go! Bernie was the only politician in DC who stood with the workers from the start.
IBB eradicated? Lol. We voted the last two contracts down to better everyone. We didn’t roll over on our bros and sisters like some did. We may not be a big union but we stick together. Remember David and Goliath?
How bout this idea ? All us young guys who are staying for the back pay plus unused vacation and personal days go on a wildcat strike after getting that compensation ? Because we are quitting anyway, right ? The old heads who have too much time invested will have to honor the picket.
There was a guy at my location who has his reduced. Paid the bare minimum like 10-20$. It worked. Still had representation but couldn’t vote.now that we all see Voting doesn’t matter, what the he-l do you have to lose?
Divide and conquer by big corporations and politicians. Time to have your union dues reduced. You're not getting what you pay for. Thats why they like having 13 different unions.
It takes 60 democrat senators to get any where with the contract. 50 or 51 just brings it to the floor for a vote, but until the filibuster is gone it takes 60 to get the legislation passed. So yes, vote Democrat!!!
If you can't strike what good are 100$ unions?
Only 1 thing left to do right now...READ! Open the rule book & read every damn rule, every one of them. Time for 1000% Rules Compliance, no exceptions. It's never against the law to work safe...it's the bedrock foundation of working people, too.
Beginning of the end. The Democrat controlled congress just removed all of the unions power against railroad corporations with the stroke of a pen. Absolutely no reason to even pay a dollar now.
Time for everyone to quit paying those pesky union dues 😂 honestly, why pay them? You’ll never ever strike again so what’s the point? Give me the money, I’ll do the same thing, tell ya what ya wanna hear and then hide in the shadows 😂
Vote Democrat!! 😂 Even your own party turned on you and shoved a contract down your throat! How’s it taste? Salty? Nows the time to jump ship. Railroads know they have power from here on out and will do whatever they please. Railroad unions died years ago but too many of you all are blind sheep and do what you’re told! 😂😂😂😂
How does the sick leave vote fail? I thought voting democrat would prevent union workers from getting screwed? Why didn’t Biden negotiate for sick leave? Worked out great for keystone pipeline unions, and now railroad unions. Thank god I vote democrat, they saved us all.
Congress isn’t in a position to allow or prohibit a strike. They can declare the strike to be illegal and encourage the railroads to impose harsher reprimands though. Still, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Time to go for broke and strike as WILDCATS!!!
The Sick leave vote failed 52-43. Forcing the Agreement as its written passed 80-15. Biden will sign it into law and no Strike allowed. Good try for those Unions who didn't Ratify, but in the end it doesn't matter there will never be another Railroad Strike allowed.
IBB soon to be eradicated from the mechanical dept.
More time off but no cap on insurance 👏 👏 👏
Rail workers don’t want to strike, rail workers just want a better contract. The Dems in the house made it better, let’s see how the Senate votes.
House resolution 119 7 paid sick days
It only takes one Senator to block the vote and let the strike proceed as planned. So far 2 senators have spoken up that they might block the vote if it doesn’t include an amendment for the sick days.
Definitely a circus. What other company this big doesn’t give their employees a sick day? What other company this big gives their employees only one sick day after 8 years? And you can’t use it till your 9th year? What other employees go for years without a pay raise? Yeah, I think we should hold out for a few sick days. People who think we are crybabies probably have sick time and probably got a raise within last 3 years. To all who voted no-hats off to you. I applaud you. Apparently the day of the strong union is over sad to say. But I am proud that my union stood their ground in last two contracts and voted them down.
Democrats won’t let the unions strike yet the unions embrace the democrats 😂 can’t make this circus up!
