Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

SPS Done This Week?

GK has gutted the fish called SPS. Round four of our divisions layoffs are confirmed for tomorrow. Not many talents left. Just bu-t kissers at this point. Are they selling off the remaining worthy IP and just calling it a day?

Raises frozen. Will review subject again in middle of year… Email from GK. You heard it here first. Just when you think they can’t stoop any lower. They do!

Would make sense, when I got RIF'd my director told me that he himself was fearing January.....he knew it was just the beginning.

Lists for the next RIF in SPS are being generated now. GK is trying to get it done before first week in February is over. Good grief.

@ylwj+1jVIFpg4 what! wow! Is is a Honeywell directive or just SPS? Why would take away something that made employees happier worker.

Honeywell was logging attendance from you logging into a local network.

At my place of work, I only badge in if I go to certain areas. Don't have to badge out from anywhere. Many times I simply walk in through an open door. I don't see how Honeywell can truly know if I am there or not for all 5 days. It's getting funny now in the Honeywell world. Looking more and more like a shutdown is coming. Of course the employees will be blamed for the corporate mismanagement.

Incoming, hot off the presses, back to office notice email 1/3/23. 5 days a week, no exceptions. 1/9/23 or a written agreement otherwise from your director. More culling of the heard without RIF or severance is the thinking from GK. Wow, just wow.

Our site too is a barren wasteland of open cubes. If we didn’t share our building with HBS, you would think the SPS side of the site was closed. So sad, all the skilled workers are gone now. It was a good run until HoneyH€ll took over.

The Intelligrated sites that I've visited, that are still open, are like ghost towns. I keep expecting to see a tumbleweed roll through. I blame JW for his personal mismanagement and incompetence. Really sad to see a once thriving company suffer so. Our customers feel the same way. Our competitors however, are loving it!

Fort Mill is a rundown sh1thole with the few remaining people there being some serious oddballs. The last onsite townhall was so cringe, glad I am out soon! I would be surprised if it lasts another year so I would definately put it on the hit list.

@txye+1jVIFpg4 What SPS sites? Fairfield OH, Groveport, OH, Fort Mill, SC, Mount Laurel, NJ? Or are you speaking of Intelligrated SPS sites?

I'm not so sure they want SPS to last through 2023... Rooftop reductions for 2 US SPS sites confirmed for 2023 Q1-2 timeframe. Who else would be left in the US? Small SPS Charlotte team, then?

I think they will make it till end of 2023 but it will be the shell of what it was.

Having Friday evening meetings with my Singapore leadership about who is next to go in SPS. No rest for the weary at Christmas it seems. GK is a hatchet man.

@mwla+1jVIFpg4 This is why SPS salespeople still are being RIFFED, even after 12/15. Maybe the 401K match fills in for the canceled commissions. Who knows, except HON is making $ from the moves at all times.

It’s ridiculous we haven’t had any recent NPI and outdated products. Raising prices multiple times including on back orders. I am surprised more customers haven’t left us.

@mzac+1jVIFpg4 That's all part of the master plan. Blame the US sites for not being able to support the US customers, thus justifying their own cost savings outsourcing moves. Brilliant! Just awful for the US workers is all.

SPS is so degraded that I feel there is no coming back. We can't get parts. We can't get workers. We can't support customers. I don't see Honeywell doing anything to make anything better. If SPS exists a year from now, I'm sure that very little of it will be based in the US. Current US customers will go with other vendors that provide local support, even if the products our competitors supply are not the equal to what SPS can provide. A major part of major purchases is after purchase support and I don't see Honeywell being committed to that. Our customers will see that too.

I'm dreading 2023. SPS long-timer here. Seems like its the end of the road. Sad.

SPS director here. They are already culling many-a-name for the Q1 big downsizing session. This will be the one where the direction of US and EU SPS will be quite visible after the bo--s drop. Run for the hills if you are level 3 and below.

Anyone in SPS still on payroll today be warned. You only made it because the resolution of this LOB is not complete as of yet. Q1 heavy handed RIFs are in the works. There will only be those left whom Honeywell wants to clean up assets and close sites. But at least the board made the revenue targets today and will get their bonuses!

goyf+1jVIFpg4 I get my SPS directives from APAC. Not sure where yours come from... Since I am in leadership, I most likely won't get my RIF until Q1. All good info here.

You just got off from a call who told you that round 5 is coming in few hours, but how come you’re not sure if you going to get riffed or not? And why would someone call you after the business hours? Please don’t spread wrong information when we all are counting our days anyways.

Round 5 incoming in T minus 12 + hours and counting. Just got off the phone. SPS is doomed in the US.

In APAC we trust it send when it comes to GK.

I hope I get the RIF card tomorrow as well.

There was another comment about the larger across-division RIF (as opposed to the FM & FF only one today) planned for tomorrow in SPS removed as well. Why are information only posts allowed to be pulled? We have a right to know what sh*t we are walking into tomorrow.

My comment from earlier today that HON indeed had a smaller RIF today in SPS was removed. Posting again so everyone knows how cut-thro@t Hon is. Gotta save that 401K payout money, that employee obviously didn't deserve it! Right GK, DA? Only worked 50 weeks this year.

They are just finishing up with the last dusting of RIFs for 2022 (before the 15th).
Next comes the Q1 2023 heavy pruning session followed by some big announcements come mid 2023.

I dread every single day now at Honeyh€ll. I put my name in for the mandatory RIF but was deemed essential. I guess I will not be getting my Christmas severance. Leaving on my own. Jeez, they couldn’t even get me my exit gift. GK can keep it! Over and out!

@bskn+1jVIFpg4 LMAO, that is totally Fort Mill!! Ki----g me the thought of 5 days here, 3 is painful enough :( Really surprised they have not closed and sublet it yet, the only thing of value here is the tiny lab. So many wasters, including most of my team to be honest.

@bxkg+1jVIFpg4 The reasoning is simple. Employees like flex time. Honeyhe|| hates employees. If they make you miserable enough, you just may leave without severance. BINGO!

Whoa they are forcing back to office? What’s the reasoning? I don’t understand why companies do this.

I am more concerned with the 100% return to work policy being reinstated in SPS. The sites are like morgues already, with all the hollowed-eyed, shell-shocked employees wandering aimlessly just a few days a week each... 5 days of that in a row with everyone on site is going to break my spirits completely. Ah, now I get why they are doing it!

Based on some insider info, if you are in SPS, please start looking for anything else in terms of work. Q1 RIFs and furloughs coming, raise freezes after HPD cycle coming (you get one but don't get the $ unless business gets better, go figure!), and a multitude of site closings are in process... BR, FM, NJ, FF, MS, URB, COL, LON... All on the to-do list.

Run Forrest run!
