If the market makes a turn soon, do you think there will be Allstate layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

Complete garbage company. Taking advantage of cheap labor for which the quality is absolutely terrible. Many buffoons at the top.
I was laid of yesterday as a Senior Java developer. The company during hiring mentions they have never laid off a person. The environment was stressful the whole time. I have worked for about 6 companies and this was the worst environment by far.
I only worked there for one year. Code reviewed my replacement, and was let go two months after. Their expectation was for me to do 24/7/365 production support intentionally knowing I would not. After completing a new capital development project, the work dried up. Do not work here.
I am also happy I left that **** company a couple of months ago. Guys, I recommend you to keep record of everything related to your layoff, they are trying to avoid paying unemployment by falsely reporting misconduct to the unemployment. I had to appeal my benefits several time until finally approved. They do not have money to pay unemployment for the last massive layoffs employees. Mucho cuidado.
Garbage company
will processing be outsource the production part to Briaridge/P.C.I?
I’m glad I left a month ago and didn’t even look back. Allstate used to be a great company to work for but now is just trash. I was in claims for 7 years and right before my seventh I had enough. The customers complain about how long it takes to get anything done with repairs, we give them sh-t about the rentals and they expect the adjusters to handle all kinds of sh-t that has nothing to do with adjusting a claim specifically in unrep. Sorry for the ones that lost their jobs.
I've been with Allstate for 4 years and got the call yesterday. Things have gone downhill for the past year and will continue to do so as they are trying to do everything as cheaply as possible.
Laid off in engineering yesterday
Multiple layoffs in marketing yesterday
Started today just been canned
Got a call about being laid off by Allstate / NatGen today. Cool, glad to know they keep hiring people in fu--ing India to have us quality check their work then lay us off once their numbers look decent.
I was laid off from ATSC on Wednesday. It came out of nowhere.
Although claims are always a target we are in a hiring freeze in many areas of the country so it’s more likely we just won’t replace people who leave.
Any word on layoffs for Claims (LDU, BI etc)?
Specifically what kinds of claims employees can be expected to see layoffs? (BI, lit, LDU...??)
Any areas other than claims?
I’ve heard claims is a major target for the chopping block. They can certainly use vendors in the place of U.S. workers. I’d have your resumes and plans ready.
How about the almighty CCO? Please lay me
Off!!!
Has anyone heard anything about any areas in Roanoke? If so, do you know which and when?
Claims impacts are in the pipeline for mid to late 2023. Already verified.
Claims will be laying off for sure. Vendors and India are all in the playbook. I’d really measure whether you want to risk being unemployed vs a pension. The economy seems be getting worse so be careful.
Any word about claims?
Several areas such as ASIC, underwriting, CCC, learn their ultimate fate (laid off or forced to vendors) 2nd or 3rd week of December.
Will this happen by the end of Dec 2022???
And it will continue making more than half of the staff being outsourced. It’s cheaper and more money for the officers.
Rumor is yes. Recent changes and layoffs was only the first wave
Many jobs will be shifting to Mayfield Ohio also.
Auto and home Rates are double the competition and no end in sight. Staff is literally walking out in tears from the allstate abuse
Allstate is in the process of sending all work to India.
