wish we could get early retirement that wasn't of the 'layoff' nature.
Emphasize is on "over three years". Large part will come from early retirement and attrition. You can be sure HP employees will also get a much better golden handshake and support than any Dell employee. HP execs are actually decent human beings.
Surprised, not really. Dell is up next with min of 30 % must be laid off.
