Woefully Under Compensated

I've caught wind of NOVs competition poaching NOV employees with 20-25% pay increases, higher bonuses, better retirement matching, better benefits, actual career advancement opportunities, and more training.

Is the grass really greener on the other side? I see the people around me are leaving in droves or are actively looking. Anyone know if NOVs management team has a plan to fix this?

Yes it is greener on the other side. And the management team plans on fixing this by letting the employees leave and hiring new people to fill their spots. Keep in mind that working at NOV you're just a Number and can be easily replaced

I was laid off in 2020 after 25 years, now making over 30% more with less responsibility. NOV is way behind on pay scale

Plan to fix this?? There’s no planning at NOV. It’s just constant threats and forcing the busier business units to pick up everyone else’s slack so the guys at the top can continue to get their bonuses. Look at Tuboscope, that’s exactly how they manage it.

Just get some interviews and see for yourself what the offers are. If significantly more, give notice and move on. We work to earn money. The more, the better. Loyalty is dead.

It’s interesting that they don’t take any of the leadership team, I guess it’s better leaving them in NOV with the damage they’re causing !
