Sick Time Pay out

How do we get paid out for the sick time we could never use? I heard there’s a number we can call and someone else said just ask a manager to key it out for you? Anyone??

Starting Feb 1st 2023 you can only carry 80 hours of PPTO forward. I currently have 192 hours and will be paid out for all but 80 hours on first pay check in Feb. This sucks. I was saving for my retirement.

I agree, Backroom is a hot mess in every Club. Changes are needed. We have good associates but we have been short associates for over a year. No pm associates and only two on am. Just a total shot show every day.

What'amazing is all the flack received from management. Half of the staffing removed from receiving/claims 4 years and the same results are expected. Backroom is called to put up pallets in the middle of a busy receiving morning. The technology is a joke....wifi goes in and out....CIM is another added step in a never ending day. If ups or fed ex come after 1230 the night guys don't receive it....they don't even know how to receive tires. And day crew is blamed for unkeyed pos.....what used to be an enjoyable job has turned into confrontation with management day in and day out. The bs is unreal...I could go on and on....

At my club you can request an unpaid day off and during that week of that day off you have to ask a manager to key in your legacy hours.

Old personal time was already rolled into pto this fall. Only old sick balance remains.

I had 191 hours of sick hours. I was on LOA to care for my father during peak of covid. During this time I was able to use all these hours however I had to check in each week to make sure all was keyed out correctly. I am now working on reducing my 500 hours of personal before we get those paid out in February.

Legacy time has to be keyed by a manager and it does not approve the absence. Only protected does. But, if you are on an approved Loa (medical) and are out longer than std covers you can use it for that remaining loa time. But it does have to be keyed by a manger. Also goes for that first week you may be on Loa that is a grace period. If you are out on an approved personal unpaid leave to care for a family member (just an example) I believe it can be used for that as well. Always check the wire for updates to loa’s and reach out to your MHR for questions or clarification as things are constantly changing.

Legacy sick pay is nearly impossible to get paid out. My manager did not want to do it and so I e-mailed an HR person to get details. She says you can get it used but you still get points for it. So if you have no points go ahead and use it, otherwise BEWARE.

when you call out or ae sick you can use the legacy sick time to pay you for the hours you missed. You must ask a manager to key it for you and it does not erase points from absences. I left the company in August after 30 years and I lost 172 sick hours. So they have made it very difficult to use those hours. Basically they stole from us outright and all we could say in response was thank you may I have another.
