Fifteen Simultaneous Infomercials on DirecTV

I think I found where some of the billion dollars in cost savings is getting reinvested...

I wonder what the metrics are for each of those infomercials, including the ones on back-to-back-to-back channels...is 83, 84, or 85 giving better viewership...

If you aren’t in a position where you have access to costs, inbound call volumes from each campaign, and conversion rates, perhaps you are not qualified to opine and should stay in your lane. The infomercials (even though they are sh*tty and annoying) are very good at bringing in new members.

If you saw the cost per sale numbers for members who come in via TV ad compared to what it costs for a Humana agent or partner broker to bring in a member, you would be singing a different tune. The TV ads are incredibly efficient.

Joy. Heard that after the reorganization and open enrollment and the active openings of centerwell, there will be more layoffs of telephonic staff, starting around March, based more on performance than reorganization, pending enrollment in Medicare advantage-not SNP plans, and the rolling out of the integration of the home health pieces.

It matters not.
Will not change situation.
Won’t bring back the jobs.
Lay offs are happening everywhere and some companies do not give severance packages.
Use the anger and frustration to find a new job and move on.
You were not wronged it was business.
The sooner you realize that the better you will be.

Its called open enrollment. They have always ramped up commercial time and its not as expensive as you think. With no in person sales booth staff (they let all them go when they refused vaccinations) and independent insurance agents selling several lines of insurance, the commercials are annoying but not as expensive as one thinks and another tax write off

Yea. They may want to then make sure their advertisement dollars are actually being used wisely and audit them…fifteen commercials on channels, even if simultaneous, makes sense. Fifteen 30 minute infomercials including some on consecutive channels is a waste of $$.

Actually, in one of the leadership town halls, that you can view on share point, they talked about how much of project growth was going into marketing to expand the base of the members they are looking for.
