Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

EMEA Town Hall

No pay rises this year confirmed. The lying barsteward Hallbard dangled the carrot last quarter and said revisit this quarter.

Promotions deferred to next quarter, they made a commitment to make them effective 1st November.

Lied there as well.

And they expect us to trust them? Parasites.

Oh nearly forgot, access to Udemy is how DXC attracts the Top Talent.

You people are fools. They arent going to give you sh-t, you are too expensive in the first place and offer nothing they can’t get from new grads in a third world country. Have fun with your green new world while you freeze this winter. Not receiving raises are the least of your worries. You’ve been sold out by the leaders you worship. DXC emea Uk etc is dead on arrival.

I honestly do not listen to what they say anymore. I just look at their facial expressions. It tells an entirely different story.
Look closely - they're all happy and smiling when they talk about subjects like digital transformation, showing a video, business updates, their strategies, you name it. Their smiles and positive demeanour vanishes as soon as they read the questions submitted by employees. Subjects like merit increases, promotions, inflation, external trainings, I can go on. The moment when they see questions about this is very important. It tells you EXACTLY what they care about. and what they DON'T care about.
Do not listen to what they say, but watch what they do.

What utter Bull sh*t!

Deliver... We do what we say we are going to do.
Collaborate... We work as a team – globally and locally.
Community... We believe in stewardship and building a sustainable company that supports our communities.
Care... We take care of each other and foster a culture of inclusion and belonging.
and we Do the right thing and act with integrity.

The APAC president said a few townhalls back that Sally and his lot found it difficult to schedule townhalls across the different timezones

A truly ridiculous excuse - every other global organization seems to cope, either have 2 town halls roughly 12 hours apart, or at least record the town hall so it can be replayed

The APAC president said a few townhalls back that Sally and his lot found it difficult to schedule townhalls across the different timezones. I see it just another sad excuse from our over paid Muppets to hide. I really wish the share holders (I wont include board as i think they just a hopeless cause as well - easy money for them too) would do something about this lot.

Well after that town hall what can they realistically expect from staff?
If they are lucky log on and fill in timesheets, anything else is above and beyond.

I knew they were spineless weasels but FFS now every time one of the "leaders" open their mouth I either feel physically sick or just swear at my screen.

Access to Udemy might backfire... people might start using those, and get cutting edge and current knowledge as opposed to the dinosaur era content on DXC University.
And once equipped, they might find that there are other employers who are interested in their skills, and are prepared to treat them a lot better, and might choose to leave !!

Glad it wasn't just me that spotted Chris's revision of what he said last time. So he confirmed it will be at least 2 years without merit increases possibly 3. And yet somehow he thinks staff are OK with it, thanks to a few training videos. I used to think it was just shouty that was delusional but clearly they all are.

If you notice it was said that they are attracting loads of new talent. - however he couldn’t really answer the question about retaining people.

I’ll quiet quit until Jan feb time and do just enough. The WFH suits me perfectly. I would trust a word the senior leadership say. Salvino won’t ever be seen again. Absolutely shocking leadership.
