I am surprised they are holding an all associate Town Hall today. I am so sure we will hear how necessary the RIF was and how bad they feel...blah...blah..blah

Not true. If they hadn’t done this the company wouldn’t make it. We were in a dark place financially. It’s not pretty but it’s the reality
Is anyone numb to the fact that everyone laid off are basically ghosts? There, but everyone (especially senior leaders) pretend you're gone?
Holy sh-t is this uncomfortable.
It seems to be a corporate directive. We had one. First they thank people for their service and say how none of this could have happened without our hard work. Then they announce org changes at a high level. Then they ask if you have questions. Then they try to rally everyone.
And if you ask whether RIFs of this size will be happening again, they’ll tell you they don’t think so, because blah blah blah.
It’s not a script but there are things they’ve been told to cover. I don’t buy any of it. This is a job. I’ll do the best I can and go home.
