Thread regarding Ford layoffs

All is Quiet…

Has anyone else noticed management is eerily quiet just like in August?

Sure hope the LL5s get chopped en masse this go around. Our LL5 is a buffoon. He has targeted for removal all the people he feels are threats to him (aka highly competent LL6 and GSRs)

With SRD he recommended the top two LL6, both female be fired. Then he promoted two sycophant young white males to LL6 and recommended one sycophant for LL5 promotion (Indian female). The newly minted LL5 was promoted for cover as all the other LL5s blamed her for everything and she was fired in August. Also fired in August by LL5 were the three LL6 who were at least trying to do the work that the SRD LL6s were doing, not the sycophant LL6s who spend their days chucking rocks and kissing tail. Post August firings, more LL6 promotions have occurred, of course going to incompetent sycophants. The intelligence and skill level of our department has hit rock bottom under our buffoon LL5.

@OP. Too quiet indeed. I have been thinking about that.

@rjz+1jKAPUpw Oh, they are hunting alright, just not deer. Though, I am sure some of the people they are going to let go this Xmas will be like deer in the headlights.

@vwh+1jKAPUpw My LL6 has been distressed beyond normal for the last couple of weeks. Distressed enough to miss meetings, forget pending things, and I have been wondering if it is a personal issue or something else, like layoffs.

Just curious- anyone have a best guess how many real retirements taking place before end of the year, I.e. End of November?

I was let go in April (but I technically retired, too) and other than a smattering of people I see in LinkedIn that have retired ( I knew some of them personally, one was one of the LL6 that recruited me to join Ford Credit all those years ago. Think she retired as a LL4), I have not seen all that many.

I mean, is it like 2018 when entire LL layers retired enmass?? (Speaking from when I was in MS&S BIT area and they made a VSSP offer - in my immediate area 9 LL’s left that year; they all had between 25 to 30 years in)

Everyone is scattering because of the retirements. Other managers are being promoted soon there's only 2 weeks of training left. My boss is being promoted so I'm currently left to make most decisions.

Maybe they are all deer hunting. Best season yet for me. SIRP’d in August and it the most relaxing deer season in 33yrs.
