Although it is not easy for me to make that decision, I am now seriously thinking about leaving the tech industry. There are many reasons for this. I wonder how many of us are thinking about leaving our careers in tech?

Intel isn't a tech company, it is an immigration and family welfare service.
I left Intel to work for NASA and my career took off like a rocket!
You think politics are bad in a tech company? Wait until you end up in an industry full of dim wits that operate on emotions and feelings and haven't the faintest idea what the scientific method is.
Evil took over tech.
My problem with the tech industry is that too much of it became evil with an adverse, predatory effect on humanity. HOWEVER, there are still very positive aspects (medicine, modeling, etc) that are well worth being a part of.
Good luck.
It is a wise decision especially for someone who is averse to corporate politics and the rat race. Find a career that is fulfilling and has a purpose in life.
You sound like a little kid: "I don't like it, so I'm leaving."
I'm sure you'll do well in a variety of other industries, like food service, sanitation, or seasonal crop harvesting.
