@1srh Ask yourself who is making these rules. Why one day at an approved location of your choice? Because it fits the lifestyle of the higher ups who don't have lives outside of work and want to be in the office walking the aisles and seeing their people, tails in seats, heads down, keeping the machine moving.

These types - the types that are enforcing RTO only as a way to have eyes on their kingdom or the types that would gladly RTO to impress the ones in charge - can travel to HY Mon-Thu and then work from the CT hub on Fri. The new policy gives them what they want (bodies in the office) while also protecting a perk that they prefer (reducing or even eliminating a commute on Friday).

Stop whining. Least you won’t be laid off because you have no site to go to.

I prefer not to post that info here. Let's just say that I was previously correct about RTO delays and our actual return to office back in March.

Giving up too much personal info may compromise my ability to provide pertinent updates in the future. Like I said, I wish I was wrong.

Get ready for 5 days in the office. It's coming in the new year. 4 days at your assigned location plus one day at any approved location. I wish I was joking.

My heartfelt suggestion is that you start putting in EXTREME EFFORT into finding another job.

You've done nothing wrong. This is on them. But the deck is stacked against you in this situation, and it's you who will unfortunately be the one to suffer.

If you go to the resource center, take a screenshot with your phone that includes the time, and so that way you show you went to the office.

They're tracking via gps suppository. You probably don't even know that it's in there. They're designed to not be felt.

If you go into an office, that's all you need to worry about. It doesn't matter how, they know.

OP here. Apologies for putting WFM instead of WFH.

I was told by business management that there are no exceptions because of distance. Exceptions go to the operating committee and our executive said she won’t submit any for location. It’s the lack of transportation and I live in a remote area; none of which is WF’s issue, it’s my problem. It was never an issue until my bus route was eliminated.

Also, I went to my manager, my manager’s manager, and then another level up and they claim they don’t know who is watching or what’s being tracked. They said they won’t ask to find out because it will be a red flag and they don’t want to rock the boat. Essentially, if you are doing what you’re supposed to there shouldn’t be questions.

You are not required to RTO if the WF location is > 45 miles away.

Reporting will show you went to an office if you badge swiped or logged onto the network. The report does not indicate which, just that you were in an office.

That is absolutely something your manager needs to find out
