The expense reduction will primarily come from firing people. That’s the blunt truth that the c-suite folks have trouble clearly stating to employees. Kind of ridiculous how much they are beating around the bush. Everyone knows what’s coming.

Curious where > 10% expense reduction will come from. Will we find out tonight?

Last DEG QGS only says the budget cut is more than 10%. So far nothing from the director or manager about what’s going to happen.

In all honesty, looking for new job and preparing for interview feels much better than coming to work and wonder when the axe will fall.

Leave if you can get an offer. This must be what they want. Pkg is nice, but you will get a big pay raise + security. They are willing to let ppl suffer just so they give out less pkgs. Enjoy the rest of the year until the lunar new year time frame not knowing anything. Even then you're not even safe next year or the year after depending on budget.

No one is safe. There will be cuts across the board, how much depends on each BU.

I've heard that DEG will see around 15% cut even from cpu teams
