Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

The coming week

What are the chances layoffs will start this coming week? The longer they keep putting it off, the closer we're getting to the holiday season. What are they going to do, get rid of everybody two days before Christmas? I think Intel management sucks but I don't think even they could be that cruel.

HR is highly cruel. But the real people making the decision is the Legal team and they are a bunch of cold fish.

Guys lot of semiconductor companies are still hiring. Samsung. TSMC, Micron. Please consider applying for those. You will have less of a panic attack. Please take care of your mental health first. Applying to other companies is an effective way of reducing stress. Applying to other companies will keep you busy and provides you hope as well.

I keep hearing in the cubes from different people Q1 is when we're going to see more groups lose HC. 2023 budgets are slimmer than 2022. Of course all this is hearsay, in the meantime we just come to work, do our jobs, wait and see..per upper management.

It totally depends on what group you are in. Some groups are taking longer to make their decisions. On the other hand, some people have already been notified. It looks like WW02 is the cutoff. If you haven't been notified by then, you aren't affected for this round.
