I retired in December 2017 as a grade 14. My base salary was 177,400 USD. Obviously there was PIP, profit share, 401K match and many other sundries on top of the base salary so it took it up to over 240,000 USD effectively. That was with WesternGeco as a Senior Geophysicist.

As a G13 I have been at 132,900 for about 8 years. I'm moving into a new role and finally about to get bumped to 150,000.

G13 ..HSE Mgr , get 76 000 $ ...+ PIP + share profit ...WTF
G15 had a big range even back then… but the salaries have not kept up with inflation. Also, grades are not known/transparent anymore
Same grade, only get 139,000 USD, so big difference,, sh-t
