Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Rules of engagement on this site

If you are still in the matrix and working for this awful organization here are a few tips.

  1. understand IP address are tracked, do not access this site on your company issued PC or phone. HR and your manager will find out
  2. realize there are HR and PR trolls who will be quite nasty toward your posts, if they identify you expect a hr discussion
  3. Honeywell practices paranoia management meaning they make you scared to loose your job so you work harder
  4. there are layoffs every year in good or bad times. I was there 21 years across multiple sites and we always had layoffs
  5. no matter how skilled you are look at your badge it has a number and that’s all you are to the business
  6. if you come across a bad manager do this trick, document everything and do exactly what they say until you can post out

Darius is the worst and yet he will be ok while all us little people who are working our butts off suffer. My poor manager literally works until midnight every day and during PTO. Our team is so short staffed but they know we have no choice. It's disgusting what hon did to people. hard to be a futureshaper when you are ruining the future.

Currently in this world evil rises to the top. That's how Scarius got to be where he is.

Agree, darius is worst thing to ever happen to this company. darius will also be the reason for the end of this once great company.

Whatever you think of Cote, Count Darius is far, far worse.

Stop with the fear mongering. Everybody and their aunt knows how to behave on Internet and doesn’t use the company’s network and computers when posting here.
I’ve been writing on this site since 2015 and they still haven’t catch me. Interestingly, right about that time there was a Townhall incident with a real Mockingbird - a girl who dare to ask about WFH cancellation and Cote was being a real a-ho-e to her. Someone leaked the video and the transcript from that townhall here, guess what - to this day they didn’t catch that person either.

I routinely post from Honeywell computers. Simple to route through any site I want. IP addresses are your friend.

Agree with "Cliff Garrett is spinning" 100 percent. This lie that HPD has any influence or significance continues to amaze me of the stupidity of people. Where you are in the nine block, is 100 % a DSC (figure it out, with CONTEST being the last word). If there is a lot of VACUUM being pulled to your manager, and a lot of bottom kissing, that is what determines were you are placed, basically a popularity contest with your manager, simple as that. No matter what you say in HPD, nothing will change where your manager puts you. And to be clear, it is not 10% in the outer "L", it is 8%-11%" in block 9 (that is the PIP) and 28% to 38% in the remainder of the outer "L", specifically Blocks 3, 6, 7, 8. That just related to a 0% raise and if eligible a 0% MIP. Again correct, everyone starts in the 5 block, then they start moving to other blocks. During mid year review, managers make a list of people "at Risk", which is the setup for the 9 block PIP. HR asks for a list of "at Risk" cannon fodder, and wants "the bottom 20%", HR removes those with the correct skin color, those being transformed, and any other current political correct demographic. This is also the time HR illegally queries the manager, asking about possible known retirements, job moves, job transfers, that could influence the final end of year 9 block list. See, savvy managers, would place employees that they knew were retiring or leaving, on the 9 block, basically doing the a good thing, in a very bad company. Well, HR caught on, and when that happens now, the manager gets the axe, called a RIM (Reduction In Management). The pain(RIM) is therefore seen by other managers, and that gets all the other lemming managers to comply, as honeywell managers have no backbone for the most part.

Best rule of engagement is not to engage. Get out while you still have your health and what's left of your sanity.

Not only are your block ratings set around mid year during the MRR process but there is a forced distribution by HR so approximately 10% fall into the outer L or elbow. I personally managed high performance teams where I was forced to put someone in the elbow by my leader and HR

Remember this as you type up your 2022 goal updates, your final year end block rating was determined by your boss around mid-year. So no matter what you accomplished or what you write, it CAN’T move the needle. So don’t think more words in HPD will help you. You are and always will be a block 5 employee. But hey, the voice of the employee survey says pay ain’t everything.
