Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

While the rumors are circulating...

I don't know if it's true and if the rumors about the lowest performing centers closing next year will come true, but in any case, I hope that everyone has intensified their search for a new job so that in the end they won't be surprised and totally unprepared.

Completely untrue. No call centers will be closing in the U.S. Probably overseas.

It's absolutely true. T-Mobile is going to lay off over 2000+ people without calling it an official layoff.

Here is what is happening -

  1. )Highest cost centers will not have leases renewed.
  2. )T-Mobile says "You can keep your job you have to move to Rochester, the new call center because the lease in X center won't be renewed".
  3. ) no one will move for $20.00 an hour job with bad management.
  4. ) everyone gets laid off
  5. ) new center opens with all fresh people making a fraction of the pay due to being in a very low wage area and due to everyone being new.
  6. ) Mike Sievert pockets all the money he saved.
  7. ) You end up jobless during extreme inflation.
