I think I looked more shell shocked than some people who were affected. The reason is that these people who were cut were some of the best employees. Is it possible that this company no longer needs talented and capable people? All in all, very demoralizing for those who stay, because this is another confirmation that hard work is not valued in the slightest here.

What level was cut?
I was told this wasn’t a decision based off WHO held the job role but the actual role. My people leader explained it was just a number put into some equation and that’s how they decided. I was also one who was laid off and the top performer on my team. It’s unfortunate.
