I hope they start the layoff announcements next week, so folks can discuss with family during Thanksgiving and make plans.
The delay is unnecessary and frankly very frustrating.

Regarding payout timeline, both VSP and ISP include 9 weeks of redeployment which is technically continuing on payroll while looking for another inside gig, so while you should probably be able to say "f-ck it, I am going" and get the loot right away, you should also be able to push it out into the next year by pretending, for the first 9 weeks, that you would really love to stay here.
If you take VSP, will it be paid out right away, or will it be paid out next year, same as other ISP?
So sad they can’t even make this painful thing quick and get it over.
Really reflects on the management here and totally lack of compassion or empathy of the leaders if you can possibly call them that.
A lot of cribbing going on. The longer the delay, the more the time to complete new job hunt.
My group manager has said that they will wait to see who will take VSP and then make further layoff decisions based on that. I know a lot of people that considered the package, but paying it all out before EOY can create a high tax liability - the package for layoff is the same, and that would be next year’s income, so they aren’t taking it

The PESD head, KT said the layoff list crafting can go in till Jan 2023. They are modeling and remodeling some scenarios… People are very anxious and frustrated how this is dragged on and on.
I’m in DEG and today the director says he still got no word from the VP about layoff plan, complete radio silence.
